In remembrance of Ivinghoe Hub Trustee, Sylvia Simmonds

In honour and remembrance of Sylvia Simmonds - an intrepid and much valued Trustee of Ivinghoe Hub.

Sylvia was a pupil at the Hub back in the days when it was the village school. She was determined to keep the Hub and the school’s history alive. She maintained a huge collection of photos of the school and the village and wrote the Hub history book which you can read here at the café.

Sylvia - the village was so much richer for your presence and your willingness to give up your time to cultivate awareness of our past as well as build on our village future.

The Trustees here at the hub will miss your sharp intelligence and your wicked sense of humour.

Most of all we will miss you, our friend and fellow villager.
